See How We WorkOUR WHY
A Design and Delivery Approach That Drives Change
Financial education programs are often built on strong technical content and good intentions, yet even well-designed programs can struggle with enrollment, engagement, retention, and follow-through when learners feel stuck, disengaged, or unable to act on what they know.
MIFE works with organizations and practitioners to embed MI into program design and delivery, creating conditions that address ambivalence, activate intrinsic motivation, and support the kind of lasting behavior change that drives real outcomes.

HOW WE HELP
Advancing Practice and Program Effectiveness
Financial Education Program Design
We design or revamp financial education and empowerment programs, embedding MI from the ground up so practitioners can work through ambivalence, address barriers to change, and strengthen the intrinsic motivation that drives lasting behavior change.
Facilitator & Practitioner Training
We train practitioners and facilitators to apply MI within financial empowerment programs. Participants build core MI competencies and develop a deeper understanding of the behavioral, psychological, and sociocultural factors that shape how people make financial decisions.
"Motivational interviewing is a collaborative, goal-oriented, and person-centered communication style and framework designed to strengthen personal motivation for and commitment to change."
